I am blessed enough to have been selected to attend Police Motorcycle Instructor School. This is a 3-week training and certification process. It is being held in Spokane, Wa this year and I'm riding my 2013 Harley-Davidson Electra Glide Police Edition.
Police Motorcycle Instructors in Washington State must first prove that they can qualify on the training course. This assures that instructors have the skills necessary to train brand new motorcycle officers.
The first three days of this instructor certification is all the instructors getting together and laying out all the training that will be given the following two weeks to brand new motorcycle officers. This basic police motorcycle officer training that I and other instructors will be giving is very demanding and not every police officer that attends will leave with a certification. But all those police officers that make it through the intense two-week school will tell you that is is one of the most difficult and rewarding things they'll do in their career.
