If you're a Harley enthusiast, you know that the right exhaust can make all the difference in sound, performance, and style. The wait is finally over—Vance & Hines has released their Super Sport Slip-Ons, and we’re here to give you an in-depth look at their quality, installation, and sound comparison.
Why Upgrade to Vance & Hines Super Sport Sli
p-Ons?
For sometime, riders of the 2024 Harley-Davidson touring models were limited in aftermarket exhaust options. Like many, I initially installed the Harley OEM Screamin’ Eagle exhaust because it was the only available choice. But now, with more manufacturers catching up, it’s time to unleash the full potential of my ride.
The Super Sport Slip-Ons by Vance & Hines caught my attention the moment I saw them online. Their sleek, race-inspired design and high-quality craftsmanship set them apart from the competition. But let’s be real—it’s all about the sound and performance, and I’m beyond excited to put them to the test.

Unboxing the Vance & Hines Super Sport Slip-Ons
Straight out of the box, the Super Sport Slip-Ons exude premium quality. Here’s what stands out:
- Available in both Black and Chrome – I’m rocking the black version, and at the time of this video, I’m one of the few with this exclusive color.
- Race-inspired styling – The downward-angled end caps and sleek design give them an aggressive, modern look.
- Legendary Vance & Hines craftsmanship – This brand is a leader in the motorcycle exhaust industry, and these slip-ons reinforce that reputation.
These are now available in the Law Abiding Biker™ Store, and we made sure that both black and chrome versions are in stock before releasing this review.

Step-by-Step Installation
Installing these slip-ons is straightforward. Here’s a quick breakdown of the process:
Tools Needed:
- 9/16″ and 1/2″ sockets
- 5/8″ socket for the new clamp
- WD-40 (optional, if the stock exhaust is tight)
Installation Steps:
- Remove the Saddle Bags – This provides easy access to the exhaust system. I highly recommend upgrading to RickRack Saddlebag Bolts for smoother removal and added security (also available in our store).
- Loosen the OEM Exhaust – Using a 9/16″ socket, loosen the clamp holding the slip-on to the header pipe.
- Remove the Rear Support Bolts – These two bolts hold the slip-on in place.
- Slide Off the Old Exhaust – If it’s stuck, apply WD-40 and twist.
- Install the New Vance & Hines Bracket – Included in the kit, this bracket is longer for better support.
- Slide on the New Slip-Ons – Ensure proper alignment before securing the new bolts and clamp.
- Tighten Everything Down – Don’t over-tighten the clamp as heat expansion occurs.

Tuning Your Harley After Installation
Any time you change your exhaust or intake, it’s best practice to remap your EFI for optimal performance. While I currently have the Screamin’ Eagle tuner, my top choice is the Vance & Hines Fuelpak 4. Unfortunately, the 2024 Harley ECM has yet to be cracked, but we expect a solution soon. Until then, we sell the Fuelpak 4 for older models in the Law Abiding Biker™ Store.

Sound Test: Stock vs. Vance & Hines Super Sport Slip-Ons
The most exciting part—how do they sound? I took my Street Glide out for a before-and-after sound test, and the difference is night and day. The stock exhaust is quiet and restrained, while the Super Sport Slip-Ons deliver a deep, throaty rumble that turns heads.
Final Thoughts: Worth the Upgrade?
Absolutely. The Vance & Hines Super Sport Slip-Ons not only look fantastic but also enhance the sound and presence of your Harley. If you're ready to upgrade your exhaust system, these are a must-have.
