We were actually changing the old spoked wheels out for new cast aluminum wheels on a 2001 Harley-Davidson Road King. We took the good tires off the old rims and put them on the new rims.

Video-Install Harley Davidson Transmission Side & Top Cover-DIY

Video-In this free DIY video we show you how to remove both your stock Harley side & top transmission covers and replace them. We did this because we were tricking a Street Glide out with all black parts.

Note for side cover gaskets: For 2013 and older models, make sure you have a new side cover gasket ready to go and some oil/fluid to replace what you lose when removing the side transmission cover. 2014 & newer Harley Davidson's have hydraulic clutches, so this side transmission cover is just for looks and you'll lose no oil when removing it. There is just a bleeder valve for the hydraulic clutch line hidden behind it.

Note for top cover gasket: We suggest having a new gasket ready to go and replacing it when installing the new top transmission cover.

Save yourself a ton of money by not having to take your Harley to the dealership to have these types of projects done. You can do this right in your very own shop or garage and right on the kickstand. Plus, have the absolute satisfaction of wrenching on your own Harley!

You actually only need to remove your clutch inspection cover to adjust the clutch, but we wanted to give you a better angle, so in the video, we had the entire primary cover off.

We then show you how to follow up and adjust the clutch lever cable on your Harley-Davidson. This video will show you start to finish how to adjust your Harley clutch and to get it right where you want it. We give you all the tips and tricks needed for this project. No specialty tools are required for this project.

Note: This is for cable clutch Harley models. There are no adjustments on a newer hydraulic Harley clutch.

Yes, you'll need to re-map your electronic fuel injection (EFI) after you install a stage-one air intake. We make it simple using the Vance & Hines Fuelpak 3 EFI tuner. You can get a V&H Fuelpak 3 right in our store and we have very popular free tutorial video on how to easily get up and running with the FP3.

We also suggest when installing a stage-one air intake on your Harley that you also install Vance & Hines exhaust headers and mufflers to really increase your overall performance and sound.
