Review-The Harley Wireless Headset Interface Module (WHIM) is now available for '14-later Touring and Trike models equipped with Boom! Audio 6.5GT Radios, this Wireless Headset Interface Module (WHIM) lets you communicate with your bike without being wired to it. The WHIM Bluetooth adapter permits wireless connectivity to the 6.5GT Infotainment system, allowing you to communicate via CB radio, hear turn-by-turn GPS directions, listen to your favorite radio stations and so much more all through your Bluetooth®-enabled headset.

NOTE: You will have to take your Harley to a dealership to get your Boom Box flashed after install of the module and harness. Only Harley dealerships have this proprietary software. And, some dealerships will charge you.

Harley Davidson and Harman Kardon just released Boom!™ Box software update version 1.21.2.1 on August 7, 2017. This comes after software update versions 1.21.0.4 that was released in March 2017. We have received many inquiries from bikers asking if they should update to this latest version. It is always a good idea to wait and see if an update fixes more than it breaks and let me have some time to test things.

Note: This particular update if for the Boom Box 4.3 Standard, 6.5T Premium, and the CVO 6.5GT systems. I give the go ahead to update to this new Boom Box software update version, 1.21.2.1.

I installed and tested this update for you. As usual, don't expect any miracles and that suddenly all things will be fixed for ever user. They still have a long way to go to get rid of all the problems that persist with the Harley Boom!™ Box Infotainment System. We are all skeptical that they'll ever get the Boom Box working perfectly at this point.

FAQ:

Question: If I get behind on updating my Boom Box software, will I have to go back and install each past update I missed?

Answer: No, you do not have to update incrementally. If you get behind, just grab the latest software update here and install it. It will update everything you need including past updates. There is no access to the older updates from the Harley website anyway.

Question: If I update my Boom Box to the newest software version and don't like it or it brakes things, am I stuck with it?

Answer: No, as long as you have been saving each Boom Box update file somewhere you're fine. You can go to a past software update file and install that over the new update version (downgrade). Keep all software versions and updates as Harley does not post or give access to older versions.

Remember; The Harley Boom!™ Box still has many annoying bugs and problems, so don't expect this software update to suddenly fix everything.

Siri not initiating in some instances with long press of VR (Voice recognition) button
VR cancelling Siri initiation despite activation through button press.
VR initializes prior to Siri initiation.
Global presets from USB device grayed out in display despite USB device plugged in.
Global presets are highlighted even after USB device is removed.
Scroll down button selects last item in media list in some instances.
Squelch pop up not shown properly in all instances after squelch button activation.
Map database names in some international regions were not fully displayed.
Next turn shown on weather map in some instances.
Various bug fixes.

We are filming a routine service, oil change, and safety inspection on a Harley-Davidson with a Milwaukee-Eight motor. It doesn’t matter if you have the 107 ci or 114 ci engine as the service is the same. It doesn't matter what model you have as what we teach you is the same. We are going to show you exactly what the Harley dealerships do and charge you $300 to $400 for every 5k miles. We are going to show you even more than they actually do.

Podcast Part 1 of 2-In this two-part series, Oscar and I give you an inside look into the life of a Police Motorcycle Officer. Both Oscar and I are full-time Police Motor Officers. Of course, in our off time is when we create all the content for Law Abiding Biker™ Media, Inc.

We get into great detail about Police Motor Officer initial training schools and ongoing training. We discuss riding equipment and our thoughts on the different motorcycles used by different departments. I am assigned a Harley-Davidson Electra Glide Police Motorcycle, while Oscar is assigned Honda ST 1300 Police Motorcycle. We give you the pros and cons for both and I have trained on both.

Not all Police Motor Officer training is the same. I am very blessed and get the best of initial and ongoing motorcycle training and get to compete. Oscar also gets great initial and ongoing training and will hopefully compete next year. There are departments that get very little initial Police Motorcycle Training and lack ongoing training, which is very dangerous in my opinion.

We were actually changing the old spoked wheels out for new cast aluminum wheels on a 2001 Harley-Davidson Road King. The wheel kit we purchased from Harley-Davidson came with new bearings that needed to be installed.

Video-How to Adjust a Harley Clutch Internally & Clutch Cable | Complete Guide

You actually only need to remove your clutch inspection cover to adjust the clutch, but we wanted to give you a better angle, so in the video, we had the entire primary cover off.

We then show you how to follow up and adjust the clutch lever cable on your Harley-Davidson. This video will show you start to finish how to adjust your Harley clutch and to get it right where you want it. We give you all the tips and tricks needed for this project. No specialty tools are required for this project.

Note: This is for cable clutch Harley models. There are no adjustments on a newer hydraulic Harley clutch.

Podcast-This is a two part series on our recent 6-day motorcycle trip to Canada, June 26 through July 1, 2017. A bunch of the guys here at Law Abiding Biker™ Media saddled up and made the trip. We had a great time with our friend's to the north. If you are going to take a motorcycle trip to Canada then you'll definitely want to listen in. We have some great information and some very funny stories to share with you. We were Live on our YouTube channel for this episode and had some great conversations. We give you all the details and the debacles that are bound to happen on a long road trip!

We share some of the best roads to ride on your motorcycle in Canda. We rode BC and Alberta and rode very specific planned routes. You'll definitely want to note the routes we took. We had a couple ferry crossings and border crossings.

We can't say enough about our Patron members in Canada. They welcomed us and showed us some real hospitality. We even had Patron Members ride up from the States and into Canada to be part of this large meet-up. Wow, we went on a great day ride with the Patrons. They even had Patron Ride 2017 T-shirts made up for everyone! We finished the day off at Patron member John Patton's home where we had a back yard BBQ, drank cold beer, and everyone had time to make connections and get to know each other better. I can't say enough about how awesome this entire meet-up was!
