Each Biker Gripper cell phone motorcycle holder is crafted in the USA through a patent CNC process using high-quality aircraft grade aluminum. The head of Biker Gripper is injection molded using Dupont Delrin Acetel resin thermoplastic and your electronic device is held securely in place with polyurethane fabric to prevent scratching and four stainless steel springs with 18 ­lbs of grip! The grip range of the Biker Gripper head is 1.9” to 4.2”.

The Biker Gripper kit comes with the mount, head, and install hardware. You have a choice of a black or chrome mount on both models. The actual Biker Gripper head is black only. The biker gripper uses a 17mm ball to mount the head. 

 
First, we have our perch/control mount option. You simply remove two stock bolts on your control cluster clamp, either right or left side, which is your choice. The Biker Gripper kit provides everything you need for the install to include the longer clamp replacement bolts, both standard and metric provided, along with the spacers needed. The kit even has hex head wrenches for a super easy install anyone can do. Further, you can mount it right side up or upside down, based on your personal preference. 
 
Second, we have our universal round bar mount option. The gripper head is the same, but the mount is for any round bar from sizes 7/8” (22mm) up to 1 1⁄4” (32mm). This allows it to fit virtually any handlebar on motorcycles, snowmobiles, ATV's, UTV's and other powersport vehicles. It requires only 3⁄4” of handlebar space and can be mounted at any angle.

Harley Boom Audio Sena 20S EVO Wireless Bluetooth Headset Software Update-Tutorial

I show you how to update the software in your Harley Boom Audio Sena 20S EVO Wireless Bluetooth Headset. Make sure you keep the software up to date as they are fixing issues and often add features. First, you'll need to install the Harley Sena Device Manager on your Mac or PC. Once that's installed I show you a website page and the easiest way to find current software updates for the Boom Audio 20S headset. You can check this page anytime to see if your Boom Audio 20S headset is in need of a software update.

To get the most out of the Harley Sena 20s EVO headset and to integrate it with your Harley Boom Box Infotainment System, you'll need to purchase and install the Wireless Headset Interface Module (WHIM) from Harley. This device fixes the inability of the stock Harley Boom Box to “directly” pair with a motorcycle  Bluetooth headset. This quickly becomes an expensive fix to a problem Harley and Harman Kardon, the maker of the Boom Box, created in the first place. 

Once you've purchased and installed the WHIM & had a dealership flash your Boom Box, the Harley Boom Audio Sena 20s EVO headset does provide full integration with the Boom Box Infotainment System. That means voice commands, music, turn by turn GPS, intercom, phone calls, CB radio etc. You can also pair with up to 8 other riders with the Harley Boom Audio Sena 20s EVO headset.

Note: With the WHIM, the only way to get “stereo” sound is to fork out the money and buy a Harley Boom Audio Sena 20s EVO headset. Other headsets may pair, such as the non-Harley branded Sena 20s, but you'll only get “mono” sound and it sucks, trust me. 

Other (cheaper) recommendation for full Harley Boom Box Bluetooth wireless integration:

The Sena Freewire was out long before the WHIM and solved the pairing problem just fine. It's what many around Law Abiding Biker Media currently use. The nice thing about the Sena Freewire is that you get full Boom Box integration just like the WHIM, but you'll get  “stereo sound” with most current and popular motorcycle Bluetooth wireless headset models! That is huge, since most of us already have expensive motorcycle Bluetooth headsets that we can use and don't want to be forced to buy a Harley stamped headset. 

If you have a passenger that you want to communicate with wirelessly through the Boom Box intercom system, you'll need to buy one Sena Freewire for the rider and one for the passenger. With the single WHIM installed, you can run both rider and passenger headsets. That's really the biggest difference between the two. 

So, you'll have to price things out and see what option will work best for you depending on your particular needs.

Progressive Motorcycle Gear I’m Testing on a Long Road Trip

Must Know Harley-Davidson Warranty Info! Beware!!

If you currently have or are considering purchasing a Harley-Davidson extended warranty plan at the time of purchase on a new bike with the Milwaukee-eight motor, you may reconsider now and into the future if things stay in their current state. If you are planning on adding specific performance upgrades, it may void both the two-year manufacturer's warranty and any 3 or 5-year Harley extended warranty you purchased, commonly referred to as an “extended service plan”.  These new strict warranty policies really only pertain to 2017 & newer Harley's with the Milwaukee-Eight motor. Those of us that own earlier models really haven't had to deal with what I'm about to reveal to you.

Harley Travel Tool Kit & Items I Carry for Touring on my Motorcycle

I wanted to show you the Harley travel tool kit and maintenance items I carry when traveling cross-country on my motorcycle. (see video below)

Being compact and having what you need is most important along with the quality of course. Why have to call a tow truck & be down over a simple repair you can do yourself on the side of the road with one of these awesome Harley travel tool kits. 

The Harley travel tool kit items I recommend and use are as follows:

Harley Travel Tool KitI carry the Cruz Tools RTH3 RoadTech Standard Tool Kit for Harley-Davidson. We have used this tool kit multiple times for things like a quick clutch adjustment, securing a broken shifter linkage, and diagnosing worn shifter splines to name just a few. All these things could have put a stop to our motorcycle trip but we were able to get back on the road and get a more permanent fix when we found a dealership later on.

The Cruz Tools Harley RTH3 travel tool kit includes top-grade combination wrenches, an adjustable wrench, locking pliers, tire gauge, hex and star wrenches, 6-in-1 screwdriver, threadlocker, mechanics wire, cable ties, spark plug socket, and more. But you’ll also love the way-cool mini ratchet and socket set. 

I also carry the Cruz Tools Outback'r H13 folding multi-tool for Harley. This little Harley tool kit is powerful, yet will fit in my Harley Travel Tool Kitpants pocket folded up. This muti-tool includes torx drives, hex wrenches, phillips & standard screwdrivers, sockets, socket driver, box & open end wrenches, and a spoke wrench. 

I add a small amount of duct tape and some extra zip ties. I  then wrap everything up in my main Cruz Tools RTH3 Kit for one powerful set of options for emergency roadside motorcycle repairs. This has saved the crew here at Law Abiding Biker™ Media on numerous occasions when far away from home when on our motorcycles. 

Note: There are also metric versions of each kit. 

Harley Travel Tool KitAdditionally, for my Harley travel tool kit, I carry a Cruz Tools TirePro Tire Guage. This gauge has a 12” flexible hose that makes even hard-to-get-to valves less of a task. Readings are held until released, and a built-in valve lets you “bleed” down to the desired pressure. Readings are in psi and kPa, and the dial is protected by a rubber boot. I can't recommend this enough. I have one in the shop too.
